Happy August!
General $ Updates
I completed my emergency fund (for now)
My emergency fund goal for the year was $12,000. I’m very happy to say that is now complete!
Eventually, I will add more to this.
I moved $134 from my student loan debt savings to my emergency fund
Just like last month, I moved money from my student loan debt savings to my emergency fund because I only need $36,000. This time I had $134 to roll over! High yield interest savings accounts are amazing!!
I’m sponsoring an event as Debt Over It!
This is a huge first for me!! I am sponsoring a 5K run in September that benefits a local animal rescue!
All of my funds support the event/rescue AND my logo will be on the race t-shirt and I get to put “swag” in the runner’s bags. I am putting pens with my logo, business cards, and a flyer with a discount for my services!
Spending

Some main things to point out about my spending in July:
Furniture Fund: I didn’t think I would be done with my emergency fund at this point, but since I hit that goal I moved on to the next! That would be saving for furniture/home stuff for the house. I’ll start making these purchases in 2024 (maybe Black Friday 2023).
Brokerage: All direct support 🙏🏻 All invested in VGT.
Household: We ended up buying a microwave during the 4th of July weekend! Also got some dish and hand soap.
Business: Most I’ve invested in my business ever! As I mentioned in my updates, I’ll be sponsoring an event!!
