Happy April!!

March was a good month financially. As you can tell by the title of this post, I reached a $100K net worth!!! A huge milestone that I’ve been looking forward to for quite some time.

I’m excited to see how my money grows moving forward!

General $ Updates

I received my work bonus

I received a 5% bonus from my full time job which was a gross total of $3,402.

32% of that went to my 401(k) – $1,088.64
And a large chunk to taxes – $815.46

My net earnings were $1,497.90. I put it all to savings!

From my business, my highest earnings were from coaching!

This makes me SO excited because this is where I really want to grow in my business. I find so much joy and fulfillment from working with clients 1:1 and improving their finances.

I had several new clients in the month as well as recurring clients.

I always have spots available if you’re interested in working with me!

I finished my travel sinking fund

I’m so grateful to be knocking these sinking funds out! Initially, my goal was to save $5,000 in this travel fund, but mid-month I decided to up it to $6,000. I was able to reach $6,000!

I took a “staycation”

For the last week of March I decided I would take a staycation. I took the week off of work and just stayed home. I did have several appointments to go to which was kind of annoying because I ended up being in so much traffic. Throughout the week I took more time for rest, read a lot, work on my business stuff, and spend time with family.

It was a nice little break, but it went so fast and still wasn’t enough 😂😭

I owe Federal taxes

One of those appointments during my time off was for filing my taxes. Unfortunately, I owe $2,311 to the IRS. I did pay less in taxes throughout 2023 because I don’t really like receiving a refund since that’s my money, but I didn’t expect to owe this much.

I’ll be able to cash flow it, but it may reduce what I’m able to put to savings in April.

I sold all of my Bitcoin

In March, Bitcoin exploded to an all time high. Crypto is something I dabbled with for a bit several years ago, but at this point it’s not a part of my investing strategy. I decided to sell all of my Bitcoin (ended up be $927) and put it toward my savings goal.

Spending

Some main things to point out about my spending in March:

Business SF: I added $500 more to this fund for my $1,000 giveaway that’s coming up in May

Health/Beauty: This includes vitamins, new deodorant, custom shampoo and conditioner, I got an old filling replaced, 2 Dr. co-pays, and new skin care products.

Taxes (CPA): That is at $0 because I moved it under ‘Business.’

Fun/Entertainment: I bought concert tickets to see Cigarettes After Sex later this year. I put my ticket under this category, but my boyfriend’s ticket under Gifts.
