Happy November!
October was a high spend month but I still hit my student loan savings goal AND I didn’t do any personal spending.
Here’s the details:
General $ Updates
I booked Travel
My boyfriend and I booked an international trip for Christmas! He paid more than I did and we still (maybe) need to get a car to rent, but we are very excited! Overall, it is quite expensive, but travel/experiences are worth it to me!
Debt
I started the month of October with my official debt at $36,000 and ended with $36,000. However, I technically started at $13,908.25 if you consider the money I have saved to pay those loans down.
In October I saved an additional $908.25 for my student loans (bringing my total saved to $23,152.53) so my final debt for October would be $12,847.47.
I still have paid $0 in interest 😊 I did gain $52.53 in interest through my HYS account.
However, with the Debt Relief plan, I would technically be debt free! And I would have $7,152.53 cash left over.
Spending

Some main things to point out about my spending in October:
Roth IRA: I typically only contribute $300 to my Roth IRA (though I do plan on maxing it out for 2022), but Vanguard pulled my $200 contribution twice and I had already put $100 in earlier in the month. Oh well!
Groceries and Food out: Over budget on both 🤦🏼♀️ Inflation + more frequent visits.
Health/Beauty: I bought a few vitamins that I didn’t realize I needed to re-purchase.
Personal: 0!!
Car Wash: I did get my car wash this month ($15)! I also bought a cabin air filter to replace mine myself.
Travel: As I mentioned above my boyfriend and I decided to book a trip for Christmas!
Phone: I bought the Google Pixel 7. Google did offer me $262 for my Samsung Galaxy S10 which is a pretty solid trade-in value!
